SK8 The Infinity Season 2 Officially Confirmed

SK8 the Infinity has just been officially confirmed for season 2 as well as a new OVA episode. The hit anime series follows Reki (Tasuku Hatanaka/Matt Shipman) and Canadian transfer student Langa (Chiaki Kobayashi/Howard Wang) as they secretly attend S, a dangerous underground skateboarding competition where they compete in "beefs" against bold and unusual characters. SK8 the Infinity was first released back in January 2021, quickly accumulating a large international audience. Fans have been eagerly awaiting more content, however, season 2 was never officially confirmed, until now.

After over a year of waiting, SK8 the Infinity season 2 has finally been announced. The reveal was posted to the official SK8 the Infinity Twitter account with an announcement trailer. It was also revealed that SK8 the Infinity fans will be receiving a new OVA episode alongside the upcoming season. With many season 1 staff returning, SK8 the Infinity season 2 is making its way back to Studio BONES, the company responsible for shows like Fullmetal Alchemist and My Hero Academia. Recently there have been rumors circulating that the SK8 the Infinity season 2 announcement was coming. Over the last week, Studio BONES hosted an event celebrating SK8 the Infinity in Japan, ending on August 14, and, naturally, fans anticipated something big for their final event. Season 2 was reportedly announced during the events’ closing live steam, and it was soon confirmed on Twitter. Currently, SK8 the Infinity season 2 has no official release date, but fans can rejoice knowing that Reki and Langa will be returning to the screen soon.
