WARNING: This article contains SPOILERS for Stranger Things season 4
Joseph Quinn can't help his emotional response to praise he received for his Stranger Things season 4 character, Eddie Munson. The actor debuted in season 4, episode 1, as the latest installment of Stranger Things was met with resounding praise from viewers and critics alike. This season showcased the Upside Down's newest villain Vecna, who has since been revealed as Stranger Things' 'Big Bad' all along. The frightening individual once known as Dr. Martin Brenner's first "experiment," One, won this round of his war with Hawkins as the town now faces a complete takeover from the Upside Down.SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY
One of the most standout performances from Stranger Things season 4 is Quinn as Eddie, who has since become a fan-favorite character. The Dungeons & Dragons and guitar-playing Hawkins High senior captivated audiences from his first scene in the cafeteria with the rest of his Hellfire Club crew. From his luscious, 1980s head of curls, to his plentiful rings and love of heavy metal, Eddie has been adored by audiences and has already been recreated in a variety of accurate cosplays. Eddie's fate in the Stranger Things season 4 finale has even prompted some viewers to create and sign petitions for the series creators, the Duffer Brothers, to somehow bring the character back in season 5. There's been no shortage of love for the Hawkins teen who dared to shred Metallica's "Master of Puppets" in the Upside Down just weeks after its 1986 release.

Now, Quinn himself has had a chance to react to the love Eddie has earned following Stranger Things season 4. A video shared by teenylino on Twitter shows Quinn at the Showmasters Comic Con this past weekend listening to a fan talk about the gratitude the Stranger Things audience has for the actor and Eddie. The fan shared the experiences of those who traveled long and far to see Quinn and described them as "grateful" for the way he went above and beyond to make them feel appreciated in return. Upon hearing this, Quinn instantly teared up. See the touching video below:

The praise for Quinn is well-deserved, as the actor delivered a performance that left many viewers in tears after Eddie's fate. Quinn is now known to be just as kind and accepting to the Stranger Things fans as his character is to Chrissy Cunningham (Grace Van Dien) in season 4, episode 1. While Eddie's time in Stranger Things seems to be at an end for now, viewers have certainly felt the impact of his character on both the story and the characters. Eddie's epic "Master of Puppets" performance has already given the classic song a push similar to that of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)," which proves how meaningful both Eddie and Quinn are to the franchise's dedicated audience.
The wait has begun for Stranger Things season 5 and viewers have already started to develop new theories, many of which bring Eddie back to life somehow. One popular theory is that Eddie will become like the Dungeons & Dragon character Kas, a human-turned-vampire who becomes Vecna's right-hand man and eventually betrays him and kills him. With Eddie himself mentioning Kas in season 4, this development could be possible, but other theories about the hit show's next installment are plentiful. Whether or not Eddie Munson returns in Stranger Things season 5, however, Quinn has cemented his place as one of the show's most beloved characters, and his genuine reaction to this praise makes the actor all the more endearing.
