Zach Shallcross Reveals Which Bachelorette Alum Nominated Him For Show

Zach Shallcross is off to a great start on The Bachelorette season 19 after his incredible one-on-one date with Rachel Recchia, and he revealed which Bachelorette alum he has to thank for nominating him for the show. Zach is a 25-year-old tech executive who is originally from Anaheim Hills, California, but has been living in Austin, Texas for the past couple of years. Zach, who is the nephew of actor Patrick Warburton, joined Rachel for a one-on-one date that began with Queer Eye's Karamo Brown helping the couple get dressed for an "exclusive" movie premiere.

The film ended up being a compilation of home videos from Rachel and Zach's lives, accompanied by a live piano performance by musician Matt White. Both Rachel and Zach received personal messages from their moms which brought them to tears. They then kissed and danced. At the end of the date, Rachel offered Zach the rose, and he happily accepted.

On the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, hosted by Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young, Zach revealed which Bachelorette alum nominated him to be on the show in the first place. The man who signed him up was Daniel Tully, who appeared on Michelle Young's season of The Bachelorette. Bachelor Nation will remember Daniel as the firefighter who made his entrance on a toy fire truck dressed in his firefighter gear, only to be upstaged by PJ Henderson, who arrived on a real fire truck moments later. Zach explained that he did not know much about The Bachelor, but his sister and mom are big fans. He had been in a relationship for quite some time, but about two years ago, when he was single again, Daniel nominated him to be on the show. Zach said that he thought, "What better time than now? I'm ready to get back into the dating scene, but what are the chances I actually make it on?"

However, Zach did get accepted onto The Bachelorette, and he said that it is "all thanks to Daniel." Zach explained that Daniel had such a great experience on the show that he wanted to throw Zach's hat into the ring. Daniel, who is also from Austin, told Zach that he was going to nominate him, and then he could decide if he wanted to pursue it or not. Zach said that he thought that it couldn't hurt to do it because he was ready to find his person, and it would be a great opportunity for him.

Many of the men from The Bachelorette have great stories about how they were nominated for the show. Having a friend who experienced the journey firsthand was the perfect way for Zach to begin thinking about doing it. So far, it seems to be a wonderful decision for him because he is now a frontrunner to win Bachelorette Rachel's heart and final rose.
